In the past week, there has been a surge in demand for water in the Dublin region. The recent freezing conditions have caused numerous water bursts and usage of water in homes has increased. Demand has escalated significantly and now exceeds supply. Consequently, to maintain storage in regional and local reservoirs, a regime of severe pressure reductions and mains shut offs in parts of the County will begin this evening at 7pm and will continue until 7am tomorrow morning. In some cases, for operational reasons, supply may not return fully until mid morning. Your co-operation and patience is much appreciated as we try to minimise disruption to households and customers.
