Water Disruption - Churchtown - Saturday 1st March 2014


Disruption in Water supply Churchtown area 1st March 2014

Due to emergency repairs on the trunk watermain supplying the Churchtown area the following areas will be without water or suffer a severe reduction in pressure from 09:00 to 19:00 on Saturday 1st March 2014;
  • Churchtown Road Upper (north side) and all roads off it from Dundrum Crossroads (Luas Bridge) to junction with Braemor Road.
  • Woodlawn Park and all roads off it.
  • Churchtown Road Lower. 
  • Orwell Road and all roads off it from Churchtown Road Lower to junction with Orwell Gardens/Walk.
  • Braemor Park

The Council apologise for any inconvenience caused to it’s customers arising from these emergency repair works.

Water Disruption - Begnet's Villas, Dalkey - Friday 28th February 2014

Water has been turned off in Begnet's Villas, Dalkey, due to a burst watermain.  The water crew are currently on site repairing this main and it is hoped to have water restored as soon as possible.

Surrounding areas may also be affected.

The Council apologises for this disruption to the water supply.

Customers are advised that on the completion of the works there may be some initial discolouration of the water.  Allowing taps to run for a short period of time can help water to clear.  If discolouration continues please call the numbers listed below.

Water Disruption - Monkstown & Blackrock areas Monday 24th February 2014

Update @ 3pm: Water should now be back to normal.

Water Disruption Johnstown Road & Rochestown Avenue 20\02\14

Due to a burst watermain, water has been disrupted to Johnstown Road and Rochestown Avenue.

The Water Crew are currently on site repairing this main and it is hoped to have water restored by 6.30 pm this evening.

Water discoloration - western side of Dun Laoghaire 20\2\14


Due to a burst watermain, there has been a disruption to the water supply in the Leopardstown\Blackrock, Monkstown and surrounding areas.

Water supply zones have been changed in order to restore water to all households.  If you are experiencing water discolouration, it is expected that this will rectify itself this evening.  Meanwhile, we request that you do not run your kitchen tap.

Water Off - Clonskeagh area - 7 February 2014

DĂșn Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council Water Section will be carrying out a leakage survey in the following areas between the hours of 1 a.m. and 7 a.m. on 7 February, 2014:-

Forest Avenue;
Goatstown Road;
Roebuck Castle;
The Palms;
Louvain;
Roebuck Road;
North Avenue; and surrounding area.

The above work necessitates shutting down the water supply.

Water Off - Cabinteely Area - 5 February 2014



Due to burst mains in the Cabinteely area water has been turned off to necessitate repairs.
