Shrewsbury Lawn, Cabinteely - Water disruption 30\12\13


Due to a burst watermain in Shrewsbury Lawn, Cabinteely, water has been turned off in order to necessitate repair.

The water crew are currently on site repairing the main and it is hoped to have the water restored as soon as possible.  At this stage an exact time cannot be given when water will be restored.


After any work on the watermain there may be some initial discoloration or particles in the water.  Allowing taps to run for a short period of time can help water to clear.

The Council apologises for this disruption.

Water Disruption - Glandore Park, Dun Laoghaire - Wednesday 18th December


Water has been turned off in Glandore Park due to a burst watermain.  The Water Crew are currently on site repairing this main and it is hoped to have water restored as soon as possible.


This may also affect surrounding areas.

The Council apologises for this disruption to the water supply.

Customers are advised that on the completion of the works there may be some initial discolouration of the water.  Allowing taps to run for a short period of time can help water to clear.  If discolouration continues please call the numbers listed below.

Water Disruption - Avondale Road, Glenageary - Monday 9th December

Update - 4.25 pm Monday 9th December 2013

Please be advised that water has been restored to all areas. 

Water has been turned off in Avondale Road, Glenageary, due to a burst watermain.  The Water Crew are currently on site repairing this main and it is hoped to have water restored as soon as possible.

Areas affected include:

Avondale Road
Sion Road

And may also affect surrounding areas.

The Council apologises for this disruption to the water supply.

Burst Mains - Update @ 10.10 am Monday 9th December 2013

Update - 4.20 pm Monday 9th December 2013

Water has now been restored to all areas. 

Please be advised that we have 3 burst mains in the Dun Laoghaire area today, namely:-
  1. Watson Road, Killiney
  2. Glenalua Road, Killiney
  3. Georges Avenue, Killiney
Some surrounding areas may also be affected by these bursts.  We have crews repairing these bursts at the moment but unfortunately cannot give a time as to when water will be restored at the moment.

Water Disruption Ballinclea Woods, Killiney - 3rd Dec 2013 @ 10.00

Water has been turned off in Ballinclea Woods, Killiney due to a burst watermain.

The water crew are currently on site repairing the main and it is hoped to have the water restored as soon as possible.

The Council are aware that there have been a number of water disruptions over the last few days and this repair should hopefully resolve this issue.
