Burst Watermain - Rathfarnham Area - Update 11.25 am

Water has been restored now to all households - 16.40 pm. 

If you are experiencing dirty water please run for a minute, if water doesn't clear turn tap off and repeat at a later stage.

Due to a burst watermain in the area, parts of Woodside, Hillside and Riverside in the Rathfarnham area will be disrupted to facilitate the repair of this main.

Further updates will be posted as to when water will be restored.

Burst Watermain - Avoca Road, Blackrock - Update @ 11.20 am

Water has now been restored to all households - 16.40 pm.

Water Disruption Kerrymount Rise, Cornelscourt - 19th Dec 2011

Due to a burst watermain in Kerrymount Rise, Cornelscourt water has been turned off to necessitate repair.

The crew are currently on site and it it hoped to have the water restored as soon as possible.

The Council apologises for this disruption to the water supply.

Works are continuing in the Woodpark area to repair the burst watermain.

Affected area also includes Ailesbury Grove, Dundrum.

The crew are currently on site repairing this main and we hope that the water will be restored later this afternoon.

Water Off - Ballybrack Area - Updated @ 9.45 am

Update @ 3.30 pm

The burst watermain has now been fixed and the water has been turned back on. 

However, please note it may take several hours for the water to reach all households.

Please be advised that the water supply will be disrupted to the Ballybrack area, namely Glenavon Park and surrounding areas due to a burst watermain in the area.

We hope that the water supply will be restored later this afternoon.

Water Disruption Coolevin, Ballybrack - 14th Dec 2011 @ 14.30 pm

Due to a burst watermain in the Coolevin water has been turned off to all households during repair.

Affected estates are Coolevin and Willowvale.

It is hoped to have water restored by 18.00 hrs this evening.

Water Disruption - Balally Area, Dundrum 7th December @ 5 pm


Water has been turned off in the Balally area due to a burst water main.

The water crew are currently on site repairing this main and it is hoped to have water restored to all households by approx 6.30 this evening.

Water Disruptions - Dun Laoghaire Area 07th December 2011

Due to a number of water bursts in the following areas water will be off during repair.


1) Balally Drive

2) Stillorgan Wood, Alma Road

3) Merville Road\Road

The water crew are currently working on repairing the mains and restoring water supply.

The Counci apologizes for the disruption caused.

Water Disruption - Windsor Terrace\Newtownsmith, Dun Laoghaire - 7th December 2011

Update - Wednesday 7th at 4.30 pm
As Council crews continue to work to repair the burst watermain, please be advised that there is now severe traffic disruption in the area. We advise motorists to avoid the area if at all possible.


Our Area Engineer has advised that the watermain will be fully repaired, water restored and road re-opened by approx 5.30 pm this evening.



Due to a major water burst on Newtownsmith, water has been turned off in the area.

The Water Crew are currently repairing this main. Although an exact time cannot be given at this stage when water will be restored, it is hoped to have water back by this evening.

Queens Road\Windsor Terrace and Newtownsmith road will be closed to traffic in order to facilitate repair. Traffic diversions are in place - traffic will be diverted through Link Road, Glasthule and Marine Road Dun Laoghaire.
