Following the recent improvement in the drinking water storage levels in the Region no  planned  shutdowns will  take place prior to the  night of  Monday 31^st January  2011. However as water demand across the region has not yet returned to normal levels, pressure reductions will continue across the County, but with a reduction in severity. These areas are listed below. Works in Blackrock, Broadford & Mount Merrion  scheduled under The Dublin Region Watermains Rehabilitation Project,  are not covered by this notice and householders and customers affected by these (rehabilitation) works should refer to the  separate notifications delivered to them.

Following the continuing improvement in the drinking water storage levels in the Region’s no planned shutdowns will take place over this weekend (Friday night to Sunday night inclusive). Pressure reductions will continue across the County over the weekend but with a reduction in severity. These areas are listed below. This position will be reviewed by our Water Services team on Monday.

Drinking water storage levels in the Region’s reservoirs are continuing to improve and we are pleased to announce that it is now possible to reduce the number of nightly shutdowns and the severity of nightly pressure reductions across the County. The Council is pleased to report that the watermain at CBC Monkstown has been repaired, and water is being restored to the affected areas.

We regret that the water supply remains off this evening in the Monkstown area due to on-going repairs to the watermain, which will be completed tomorrow, Sunday 09/01.

To facilitate residents we are maintaining a standpipe outside No 8. St Johns Park, Monkstown from which water may be taken if necessary.

Please note however that this water should be boiled before use.
