Update on severe weather Mon 29/11/2010 18.30p.m

Met Eireann have warned that there will be further snowfall tonight, with continuing risk of thunderstorms and in anticipation of this our gritting crews will be out in force. The cold snap is set to continue until the weekend and into next week. Public transport is working with minor restrictions and delays.We recommend that you should check for information, which is linked to all public transport providers. Drivers need to exercise caution and be aware of ice conditions at all times.

Our crews were out earlier today on selected secondary routes as well as on major roads across the County. Hospitals, schools, Dart stations, Luas stations and senior citizens accommodation were also prioritised for treatment.
