Advance notice of Pressure reductions for Sunday night 28th February 2010

We are pleased to advise residents and businesses that due to significant progress in finding and fixing leaks throughout the County over the last few weeks,  the Council will no longer have to apply countywide severe pressure reductions to the water supply on a nightly basis.

However, due to ongoing local issues with water levels in Sandyford, Church Road and Rathmichael Reservoirs, pressure reductions will be necessary in certain areas (listed below). The pressure reductions will be confined to times that will cause the least impact on customers, generally between the hours of 10pm and 6am. It is not anticipated that these pressure reductions will result in loss of water supply.

Water conservation efforts from all households and businesses in the County still remain critical to ensure that reductions can continue to be eased incrementally (Refer to http://www.taptips.ie/)
