Water Burst - Ballinclea Heights & Surrounding Areas - Update @ 9.15 am Thursday 10th May 2012
Water has been turned back on in the Ballinclea area at 16.15 hrs. However, it may take some time for water to get to all households due to the refilling of the system.
We have been informed by our Water Inspector as of 10.00 am this morning that this burst necessitates replacing a large section of the watermain pipe. The crew are currently working on this and unfortunately, at this stage, it looks like the water will be off for most of today.
More updates will follow. The Council apologises for this disruption.
Please be aware that we have a burst watermain in the Ballinclea area which is also affecting surrounding areas. Residents may experience loss of water or low water pressure during the day until this burst is fixed.

As the system moves to full capacity, you may still experience some flow difficulties over the next few hours and accordingly we have placed a blue water bowser on the Ballyman Road at the entrance to the Spanish school for your convenience.
