Emergency repair works

Emergency repair works must take place tomorrow, Wednesday 31st July 2013 that will necessitate a shut down of a large area of the public water network. Unless unforeseen circumstances arise, the shut will only be in place for approximately 2 to 3 hours.  It is envisioned that the shut will commence at approximately 10.30 am. Houses in the vicinity of the areas listed below will be affected:-

Water Disruption - Booterstown Area - Tuesday 23.07.13 @ 3.00 pm

Due to essential maintenance, the water supply has been disrupted in the following areas which may result in very low pressure or no water at all :-

1.  Dornden Estate, Booterstown
2.  Bellevue Estate, Booterstown

Burst Watermain - Thornhill Road, Bray - Updated @ 3.10 pm

Please be advised that there is a burst watermain in the Thornhill Road, Bray area, which is affecting the water supply.  Surrounding areas may be affected as well.

Water disruption - Monkstown - Wednesday 17th July @ 12pm

Due to essential maintenance works on the water mains supplying the area, the water supply to the Monkstown area shall be disrupted on Wednesday 17th July.


The areas affected include:

Ashton Park
Windsor Park
Richmond Park
Richmond Avenue
Richmond Grove
And may also affect surrounding areas.

Customers are advised that on the completion of the works there may be some initial discolouration of the water. Allowing taps to run for a short period of time can help water to clear. If discolouration continues please call the numbers listed above.

The Local Authority regrets any inconvenience caused to its customers by the interruption of water supply and will ensure that such interruptions will be kept to the minimum necessary.

Water Disruption – Richmond Grove, Monkstown –Tuesday 16th July

Water has been turned off in Richmond Grove, Monkstown, due to a burst watermain. The Water Crew are currently on site repairing this main and it is hoped to have water restored as soon as possible.

This may also affect surrounding areas.

The Council apologises for this disruption to the water supply.

There is disuption to the water services in the above area due to a Burst Main.
