WATER OFF NOTICE



Update - 17.20 on 8th September:

Please note that due to technical difficulties which have come to light and the time needed to resolve them, it may be necessary to interrupt the water supply from the earlier time of 8am tomorrow, not 9am as previously reported. The County Council apologises for inconvenience caused due to this unavoidable scheduling adjustment.


Water-off postponed until Thursday 9th September


The Planned interruption to water supply affecting parts of Monkstown and Dún Laoghaire will not go ahead today Wednesday 8th September due to technical difficulties with the works. The work will be carried out tomorrow, Thursday 9th September.

Due to essential maintenance work on the water mains supplying your area, you are hereby given notice that the water supply to your house/ premises will be disrupted between the hours of 9am and 5pm approximately on Wednesday 8th September 2010.

Customers are advised that on the completion of the works there may be some initial discolouration of the water. Allowing taps to run for a short period of time can help water to clear.

The following areas will be affected;

1. Carrickbrennan Road
2. Alma Place
3. Packenham Road
4. The Hill, Monkstown
5. Clifton Avenue
6. Longford Terrace
7. Longford Place
8. Salthill & Monkstown Station
9. Monkstown Crescent
10. Old Dunleary Road
11. West Pier Pumping Station
12. Sloperton
13. The Slopes
14. De Vesci Terrace
15. Clearwater
16. Cumberland Street & School
17. Clarence Street
18. Georges Place
19. Crofton Road
20. Crofton Terrace
21. Crofton Avenue
22. Wellington Street

GLENCULLEN

Due to low levels on the water network in the Glencullen area the public water supply shall be disrupted in the Glencullen area between the times of 8.00 pm on WEDNESDAY 25th AUGUST 2010 and 7.00 am on THURSDAY 26th AUGUST 2010 and again from 8.00 pm on THURSDAY 26th AUGUST 2010 until 7.00 am on FRIDAY 27th AUGUST 2010.

The Local Authority regrets any inconvenience caused to customers by these interruptions of water supply and will ensure that such interruptions will be kept to a minimum. The Council is grateful for the co-operation of the public in this matter.

Water Supply - Ballyedmonduff Area - 19/9/2010 5.00p.m

19/8/2010 5.00p.m  We regret to inform customers that that the water supply to the Ballyedmonduff area will again be restricted this evening from 8.00p.m to 7.00a.m tomorrow Fri 20 August. We apologise for the inconvenience.

18/8/2010 at 1245. Please note that the Water Supply has been returned to normal in the Ballyedmonduff Area. Thank you for your patience in this matter. The County Council regrets any inconvenience caused as a result of these essential measures.

17:15 - 17 August 2010 - Water off Ballyedmonduff

The upper areas served by the Ballyedmonduff Water Supply will be turned off from 8pm tonight until 7am tomorrow morning due to critically low reservoir levels.

9 August - 4:30pm - Water off in Stillorgan Area

4:30 pm - Due to a burst watermain in the Priory Avenue area of Stillorgan, water in the vicinity has been turned off. Staff are currently on-site making repairs, and it is expected that water will be turned back on within 2 hours.
